Love this campsite
This is such a nice campsite. I love that you get your own little section. Even if people are in the next section there’s still plenty of space so it doesn’t feel crowded. The people who own it/ work there are friendly. The facilities on site are good and free to use (showers/ plugs for chargers etc). If you need logs or kindling at night and the shop is closed you can take what you need and pay the next day/ when you leave. It’s just a very pretty campsite so it’s good all round 🙂 We will definitly be returning
Amazing!
I love this place.
First time camping with my Grandchildren. The children didn’t want to leave.
Mike and his team are so welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble.
On site shop with everything you need.
Each camping area has it’s own fire pit.
Spotless shower and toilet areas.
They deserve their award of Best camp site in the West Midlands
Already booked to go back next week. Can’t wait.
Perfect stay, Michael is an absolute gem!
I’m a very fussy camper, I like views, quiet, clean, well run smaller campsites. Twitey’s was that & so much more.
Michael could not have been more helpful, I struggled with our new tent & he spent considerable time putting it up & checking we were ok. He was so good humoured throughout our stay, my son adores him!
The site has lovely facilities which were plentiful & clean.
I’ve tried to fault it but I can’t! Looking forward to coming back next year.
Amazing
I am here now. I wish that I had found this place sooner. It’s amazing. Lovely owner and staff. So helpful. Fantastic facilities. Spotlessly clean. Really fab place . Can’t wait to return.
Fabulous!
I wanted a relaxed few days trying out my new tent, and Twitey’s was the perfect place for me to chill.
I was met by Michael, who showed me around before allowing me to choose my pitch. Being just before school holidays, it was very quiet, so I made the most of the tranquillity. The facilities are first rate, there’s nothing I can think of that they haven’t got. Clean toilets, fab showers with proper thermostatic controls and removable shower heads (a little thing I know, but makes a difference to some). Plus, you can buy or hire just about everything else. I never left the site so can’t comment on the local area (too happy catching up on some me time).
Personally, I hope they stick to the no dogs rule. I’m not comfortable around dogs which is one of the main reasons for choosing Twitey’s. Hopefully Twitey’s will continue to enforce the no dogs rule and I will enjoy returning time and time again.
Thank you Twitey’s, you were fab!
Glorious!
What a wonderful campsite. We stayed in the garden yurt and it had absolutely everything we could possibly wish for. Beds are firm and very comfortable with high quality bedding. Own fridge, kitchen, shower, loo and unexpected extra touches. Lovely, friendly hosts. Family camped in adjacent upper meadow. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended
Fabulous!!
I’d bought a new tent for work but needed to test it so booked a few nights here. Well, in a nutshell, it’s fabulous!! I’ve not done a lot of camping so wasn’t really sure what to expect. I chose Twiteys mainly for their lovely separated pitches and their no caravan/dogs policy. I was greeted warmly by Michael who showed me around, then I pitched my tent (pitch number 6 lower field). The facilities are absolutely first rate, from proper flushing toilets (with washbasins in the cubicle) to really good showers (thermostatically controlled with plenty of hot water and shower heads you can adjust) and a fabulously stocked shop, they really have thought of everything! I’ll definitely be coming back!
Glamping in the Shepherd's Hut
We stayed in the adult area, in the Shepherd’s Hut for three nights over the August Bank Holiday. The hut looks over the campsite, set back from the family camping area in an orchard.
The hut was brilliant. Large, supportive, squishy mattress (I have a moody back, and still slept so comfortably), table and chairs outside with the fire pit, table and chairs on the deck for showery times and table and chairs inside for downpours.
The composting toilet was easy to use, and there are standard loos a minute’s walk away. The shower was warm and powerful. The kitchen was well-equipped and organised.
The thoughtful touches include: lots of wood, firelighters and matches, a welcome basket with lovely rolls, cereal, milk, coffee, waffles, marshmallows and more! Vase of wild flowers, cosy blankets and useful towels, torches, ice box and charger packs.
We arrived as if we were going to a hotel, with a weekend bag. Plus, we brought food basics.
The shop is well stocked with things you might need. Good quality basics and (essential) ice. We had Luca’s Pizza one night – absolutely delicious dough, toppings and dips. Probably one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten.
Our new favourite camping spot
I stayed here with a group for a couple of days and loved the whole experience.
It’s very evident the amount of thought and effort which have gone into making this a peaceful, relaxed experience. Whether it’s the wheelbarrows to transport your kit (genius), the well-stocked shop or use of landscaping to create privacy, these kind, enthusiastic people have made a wonderful space for everyone to enjoy
Can’t go without saying that the toilets were cleaner and better stocked than most cafés I’ve been to as well!!
Definitely planning another group holiday along with some individual visits and hoping to catch LucaLovesPizza Pizza van next time
Wahool's family camping
Michael spends time and effort with all guests. The site is cool, trendy and a little magical.
Most family members are novices to camping first timers. Come Sunday “We want to go again”! Can’t wait.
Thank you Michael.
Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Twitey’s Tipis and I must say, it was an absolutely enchanting experience! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality.
The tipis themselves are beautifully designed and exude a rustic charm that instantly transports you to a different world. The attention to detail in each tipi is remarkable, with cozy bedding, comfortable seating areas, and even charming little decor pieces that add to the overall ambiance.
What truly sets Twitey’s Tipis apart is their dedication to creating a unique and unforgettable experience. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that guests have everything they need, from providing firewood for the evening campfire to offering helpful suggestions for nearby activities and attractions.
One of the highlights of my stay was the mesmerizing starry nights. The secluded location of Twitey’s Tipis allows for a breathtaking view of the night sky, making it perfect for stargazing and reconnecting with nature. It was truly magical!
Another aspect that impressed me was the cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities. Despite being situated in the heart of nature, the tipis and common areas were impeccably clean and well-maintained. The shared bathroom facilities were also kept in excellent condition, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches such as eco-friendly toiletries.
Twitey’s Tipis also offers various activities to keep guests entertained, including guided nature walks, outdoor games, and even the option to rent bicycles to explore the surrounding area. There is never a dull moment here, and the staff’s enthusiasm and creativity truly shine through in all the activities they organize.
Lastly, I must commend the delicious food served at Twitey’s Tipis. Whether it was the scrumptious breakfast baskets or the mouthwatering BBQ dinners, every meal was a delight for the taste buds. The use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients added an extra layer of authenticity to the dining experience.
In conclusion, my stay at Twitey’s Tipis was nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of friendly staff, picturesque surroundings, and unique accommodations made it an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for a tranquil retreat that offers a perfect blend of comfort and adventure, I highly recommend Twitey’s Tipis.
Peaceful and Relaxing
It is so nice to find a site where there are segregated pitches for privacy AND where cars are not near tents. We have had a lovely 2 night stay. We walked into Stratford and the kids played in the river there for hours. We had 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts cooked on the campfire. Toilets and showers were clean and no queues to use. In addition the owners were friendly and helpful and recycling encouraged. I really cannot find any negatives.
Thanks
Fantastic Stay at a Fantastic Campsite
Michael and Rosie run a fantastic camp site and made our group feel so welcome. Great facilities – clean and plenty of – and a really well stocked on-site shop. The wildflower meadow pitches are a great size and very private and the fire pits are a lovely addition. Would definitely stay again!
Relax and recharge in nature
Just returned from another excellent 3 night camp at Twitey’s. There are lots of things about this campsite that keep me coming back year after year. I think the top 3 are the warmest of welcomes – everything’s been thought of, nothing’s too much trouble, the space – pitches are vast, nature is all around you, there’s a real hide-away feel to be found if you want it and the peaceful vibe that gives you a real chance to relax and recharge. Also, Stratford has loads going on and is just down the road (£12 Uber), wild swimming at The Old Swimming Place (10 minute drive) was great fun and then back at the campsite, the facilities are great, the nature is stunning and the opportunity for a campfire under the stars rounds off every camping day perfectly. Thank you Twitey’s, see you again soon!
Such a lovely site
Stayed with 5 friends at the weekend and had a wonderful stay. Very welcoming on arrival and shown around the site. The pitches are a good size and love the addition of the fire pit. Walked into Stratford on the Saturday but wouldn’t recommend this with young children as a lot of it was on the road. We are already looking to re-book.
Brilliant Campsite for Bicycle Touring
Had a brilliant overnight stay at Twiteys Tipis recently whilst on a bicycle tour, lovely campsite with a difference – I highly recommend for bike packing / touring.
Beautiful campsite
We had a fantastic 3-night stay, the pitches are large and well spaced and the long grass makes it feel very private. The owner Mike could not be more friendly and helpful, and the showers and toilets are clean and well kept. The site has a really friendly atmosphere and beautiful sunset views. We’ll be back! Thanks very much.
Our first camp April 2022
Myself and my partner stayed at Twiteys Tipis camping site over a bank holiday. It was our first camping holiday together and my first time ever camping. On arrival we had a warm welcome and was shown around the campsite. Both the owner and the staff are really friendly and helpful with any questions you might have about the campsite or surrounding area, all you need to do is ask! It was a lovely campsite with all the facilities that you would need. The facilities where clean and well maintained. The shop on the site was handy for anything you had forgotten or if you just fancied something sweet. The views of the sunset in the evening were spectacular and we were lucky enough to have the good weather to sit out and watch it every night. It is also a good place to go bird watching, with a variety of different birds that you can see and hear. We are looking forward to coming back to the campsite very soon!
Super helpful
Even though these guys can’t help me this time they have been extremely helpful Thank you
Amazing
We have just returned from a 2 night stay in the yurt. It was amazing! The beds were really comfortable and the fire pit was a hit! It was really handy having the outdoor kitchen too. Our little girls loved every minute! John was very friendly too.
Our holiday started here.
We stayed 2 nights in this great site. Loved camping in the meadow. All the amenities were clean and well looked after. Lots of space and sunshine!
Amazing
Had such a lovely time camping with my 3 and 1 year old! Was slightly nervous about going on my own with the kids but had such a nice time. Site is perfect and has everything you need and more! Staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back and making it a regular trip. Really is a magical site and great for kids! Plus to charge your phone! Space in the shower for me and the kids to get ready comfortably. Even a fridge to use which we weren’t expecting! If I could give it a 10 I would have! I was a bit worried about having to get the stuff from the car to the pitch but the kids absolutely loved the wheelbarrows and it was much easier and not very far at all! See you again soon x
Had an absolutely wonderful time
Had an absolutely wonderful time here during our 3 day stay over Easter. The pitch was spacious and equipped with a fire pit and washing up facilities, a fridge and a freezer were very nearby. Toilets were very clean and the showers were wonderful! The campsite was very near to some lovey places to visit, including Stratford-Upon-Avon town centre, a farm with lots of lambs, and a water mill. The best part, though, is Trevor the cockerel and the 3 cats that wander around the site 🙂 5 stars!
Good Old Back to Basics Camping
Had a 3 night stay in unusually warm March. A friendly welcome by owner Michael. I have mobility difficulties so found the walk to and from carpark with gear challenging but Michael was extremely helpful offering to do it for me. The facilities ie toilets, showers and washing up points are clean and well presented. As early in the season, the shop wasnt up and running but Id brought all i needed with me anyway. Each pitch has own fire pits and it was enjoyable sitting by the fire each night with clear starlit skies. It was relaxing during the day to sit and hear birds singing in nearby trees and hedges. Only occasionally a small plane flew over from the nearby airfield, so didnt disturb the peaceful setting. Will certainly keep Twiteys Tipis in mind when considering an early season quiet camp.
Simply the best!
We have just come back from a 2 night stay in the luxurious yurt. It was simply amazing! We received such a warm welcome from Michael, the owner, when we arrived and couldn’t believe how spacious and well equipped the yurt was. They really have thought of everything including a shoe rack, torches and a basket of blankets. The welcome pack of goodies was a lovely additional touch. The bed was really comfortable and we loved having our own little kitchen area and fire pit. I’m not sure I’m ever going to get my husband back into a normal tent again! The toilets and shower blocks were really clean too. We 100% recommend this campsite, especially the yurt. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely perfect
Thank you for making my birthday weekend just perfect. We love coming to Twitey’s and always have a relaxing weekend so it was great that you were able to accommodate such a large party so that i could share Twitey’s with all my family and friends. Everyone had a great time and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. we shall hopefully see you again soon!
Excellent campsite and very friendly
This is a fantastic campsite. We have stayed here twice now and will be returning again. Love the meadows and Trevor the friendly Bantam cockerel. Michael and Alicia are great, very helpful and friendly. The shop is fab and sells all you need for a camping holiday and there are great places to visit in the area. This is our family’s favourite campsite.
Another fantastic stay at Twitey's
We stayed at Twitey’s for our second time this weekend and weren’t disappointed at all. It’s a fantastic campsite in great surroundings and gives a real wild camping feel – however, the presence of the shop, the amenities, and the great services on site ensure that not only can you have the wild camping feel, you can also indulge in all the creature comforts – brilliant new showers with a seemingly endless supply of hot water, superbly maintained toilets, and overall a great campsite for a weekend away – it seems like the team are constantly looking for ways to make improvements to the site, and they are certainly successful with this! We would highly recommend this site to everyone and we will certainly be back again next year!
Best campsite
This is a real gem of a campsite. The grass pitches are perfect size and Michael the owner is attentive and helpful. The bathrooms are very clean and the quiet campsite was the perfect place to camp at. I could not recommend this anymore.
Brilliant Weekend
We stayed here for the weekend in August 2017 for my birthday (4 adults, 2 children) Absolutely brilliant weekend, great facilities, lovely welcoming staff. We’ll definitely be back this year
A+ Recomended Relaxed Bushcamp Feel
Big thanks to Michael and Alicia for a personal welcome and hosting our family of 5 with kids 6,3 and 2 over the August bank holiday 2017 (what great weather!!) and following week. The kids loved the firepit and particularly enjoyed chasing Trevor the friendly Bantam Cockerel around and stroking him! The airfield was a constant entertainment for our 2 year old who just wanted to watch the helicopters and planes all day. The simple clean and effective facilities reminded me of an African safari camp and the site had a lovely relaxed feel. Over the August bank holiday the camp was at capacity but you only noticed because the car park was full and the shower system couldn’t cope with demand (!) but the rest of the time we had plenty of hot water and the site was always peaceful and quiet. The camp shop is well stocked and morning filter coffee a treat when we had to get up and out early to Warwick Castle (with real jousting, archery and amazing birds of prey) for the day. There is so much to do in the surrounding area and we had great trips out to Banbury Lido, Thomas Land at Drayton Manor, Stratford leisure center and some lovely rural scenery. Thankyou for a great holiday we would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful child friendly relaxed rural retreat. Ideas for development might include more hot water at high capacity times and a kids playground?
Awesome
We were in many camps over the UK and Czech republic and this camp is the best I have ever been. Everything was very nice and friendly. Showers and toilets were clean. Owners were very friendly and welcoming and they helped us to get to the town. I wish them all best. I hope we will visit this place soon. 🙂 Thank you very much.
3 night stay
Really liked the honesty shop and the fantastic team who run the site. Everything was clean and peaceful, great toilets and facilities. The showers – during the busy period – really didnt produce much water and it was pretty chilly but other than that….lovely stay
Twitey's Tipis
What a beautiful campsite! Loved our weekend here. The staff are friendly, the facilities clean. We hired a BBQ and enjoyed that in front of our fire under the stars. We were even treated to a meteor shower! Perfect.
A piece of paradise
Wonderful welcoming staff. Beautiful countryside and fantastic site. 3 fantastic nights spent here sadly we couldn’t stay longer. We’ll definitely be back to this little piece of paradise.
Perfect setting
We’ve just returned from 6 perfect nights at this campsite. The toilets are clean and showers hot. Even over a busy weekend it felt relaxing and spacious. The location is perfect with Stratford, Charlecote Park, Blemheim Palace and Drayton Manor within easy reach. Our 1 year old loved loved it. If you have a toddler and the weather is bad the leisure centre in Stratford have a lovely pool and there’s a little play centre called Jungle Town about 15 minutes away.
Awesome Adventure
We had a fantastic time, what an epic site! Our children were able to run free without the risk of cars and guide ropes so meant that we could just relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The pitches are amazing and give just enough privacy and being able to have a fire to roast marshmallows on was the icing on the cake. Fantastic team & very friendly atmosphere. We cant wait for our next adventure!
Fantastic
Back to nature camping, but with all the perks of great facilities. We had a fantastic weekend away camping and walking, the campsite had a well stocked honesty shop with fresh coffee! Flushing toilets, with plenty of toilet roll. Hot running showers with plenty of room to change. Fire pits pre built into each pitch (perfect for s’mores). A wet weather room which is great for groups to shelter in during wet weather (in the U.K. -never!), this also included a fridge / freezer for keeping the beer cold plus washing up facilities. Finally, although you can’t park at your pitch, the wheelbarrow journey from car to pitch is easy, and the car park is right by the facilities for very easy access.
Perfect place to recharge
We spent a wonderful few days unwinding at twiteys, opting to camp in one of the spacious pitches. The children loved exploring the site and having a fire pit on the pitch was fabulous! Will definitely be coming again.
Fantastic Weekend!
Just got back from a fantastic weekend at Twiteys. A brilliant campsite with all the facilities on hand, well kept and very much cared for. We camped on an oversize pitch – 4 adults and 8 kids- and still had some room to spare. The fire pit was superb and the kids thoroughly enjoyed exploring and playing on site. The local Wellesbourne walk was great, as was the Touchdown cafe at the end of it – a well deserved cold pint went down really well! Make sure you visit the war museum at the airfield – the staff there were brilliant, and don’t miss the opportunity to take a look at the Vulcan bomber as well. Brilliant weather all weekend – we will certainly be booking again next year. Many thanks for a great weekend.
Great campsite
This is one of the best run campsites I have visited, facitities are clean and everything you need is there ..having an open fire is a bonus…plenty of space for 2 tents and a gazebo…all sorts of goodies are accessible 24hrs from a bag of marshmallows to a bag of logs thanks to an honesty box…nothing was too much trouble for them and we will certainly be back sometime soon.
Wonderful, peaceful BH weekend
A hidden gem, this campsite is the perfect combination of rustic and comfortable. Facilities are basic but they have thought of all you need, and despite the site being full it never felt overcrowded and waits for toilets / showers weren’t unreasonable. Michael and Stuart are a fantastic team, constantly on the go to ensure campers get the best possible experience. The firepits for open campfires are rarity these days, and elevate the experience to another level. No light pollution at night makes for a lovely peaceful and relaxing time. We will certainly be back!
Amazing Family Weekend
Even though we picked a clear, cold March weekend to test our new tent, the welcome from Michael was warm and welcoming! Because it was so early in the season we had the place to ourselves – perfect silence under the stars except for the crackling of the fire. Simple but well thought out amenities, and an eccellent honesty shop for all those essentials you might have forgotten. We will be back in summer!
Weekend away
Just back from a lovely weekend away at this beautifully presented campsite. We were welcomed by the very friendly and helpful site manager, Stuart. He was always on hand to help and made our stay such a pleasure. Thank you!
Mrs Stirrat
ANOTHER AMAZING stay at Twitey’s Tipis. Absolute Gem of a campsite. Always a genuine and lovely welcome from Michael and Stuart and the loveliest, natural surroundings to camp in 🙂 Plenty of space and roaring fire under the stars…perfect. Thanks guys for another wonderful adventure. We all had a fantastic time x
Glorious!
A fabulous break at Twitey’s Tipis – we were so impressed. And so peaceful despite the school holidays. We’ll be back next year!
Gem of a site
Just got back from a 2 night stay at the site. Exactly as described in terms of facilities. Site is brilliantly laid out and the long grass between the pitches is great and works really well. Stuart is perfect, friendly and helpful. It was quiet when we arrived on Thursday but got extremely busy on the sunny Friday / Saturday morning. Lots of families and kids playing in the central cut of the meadow. A few large groups including a load of young lads but nobody got carried away and the site was respectfully quiet at the right times. You might wait a bit for the facilities – I used shower / wash up area no problem between 05:00 – 06:00 but it was a bit hectic at times through the day. Minor negative as the place is a proper little gem. If you are in two minds – get it booked, you won’t be disappointed.
Amazing
We would just like to say what an amazing weekend we have just had ….it was perfect twiteys has everything to offer michael made us very welcome …stuart what an amazing man very attentive and cared for every need we cant wait to come back here just brilliant x
Excellent campsite
Second time staying here. Great layout, services and kept very clean.
Heartily Recommend
Lovely site manager Stuart, beautiful setting, no cars, campfires, plenty of space, great facilities, perfect for day out at Warwick Castle or Stratford (inc brilliant Mad Museum – v interactive for kids). What more can I say – this site is perfect, thank you!
Amazing
Thanks to Denis, Michael and Stuart for a great campsite. The boys really enjoyed the whole experience especially cooking on the campfire and the table tennis in the barn. Hope to come back soon!
Fantastic site!
Had a lovely weekend with friends at the campsite; really nice site, flushing toilets and hot showers, and lots of little thoughtful touches (e.g. shop for essentials, washing up liquid at the sinks – helps with the little things you may have forgotten!). The layout of the site is really nice, with each pitch surrounded by longer grass, which gives the feel of privacy. Stuart was very lovely and came over for a chat while we were building our fire. Only 15 minutes (or so) drive from Stratford Upon Avon, and lovely countrysides for walks. If you get the chance, definitely go eat at the Crabmill in Preston Bagot – amazing food (and an extensive gluten free menu for the person in our party who needed it). Thanks for a brill weekend – will definitely be back!
What an Adventure!!!
Wanting to give our daughter Grace and her three friends and adventure (which they requested) we sourced a camp site that would take youngsters with a love of the environment. This site was perfect! From the moment we dropped the youngsters off their adventure really did begin…An amazing camping experience was had by all, with the help and support from Michael and Stewart! Without hesitation I would recommend this stunning campsite for all ages, all interests and indeed for anyone. A beautiful environment, a second to none experience…Just try it!!
A magical place to stay
Just got back from 3 nights stay and how wonderful it was! My one year old and six year old girls loved it so much as did myself and my husband. The field is beautiful with lovely long meadow grass around each pitch which has ample space from other tents, lovely. There is everything you could need with excellent facilities and little shop. Feels like wild camping but has the bits to help make you feel comfortable. Stuart and Michael are lovely hosts and can’t do enough for you, really great. What a lovely place this is! We will most definitely be back and soon.
Twiteys Tipis
Fab place – wild and cosy all at once! Brilliant location and well thought out site. Stuart was brilliant with adults and children alike and Michael was lovely too. Would definitely love to stay here again ☺

Weekend away
Just back from a lovely weekend away at this beautifully presented campsite. We were welcomed by the very friendly and helpful site manager, Stuart. He was always on hand to help and made our stay such a pleasure. Thank you!
Great time
I wouldn’t say we were hardened campers by any means but you could tell the thought that had gone into this site. Everything worked well and Stuart couldn’t have been friendlier. We will be back!
Mrs Stirrat
Would thoroughly recommend this campsite! Beautiful natural meadow setting, perfect with an evening campfire! Surrounded completely by country side and tucked out of the way down a little lane…(and yet if needed sainsburys /etc 10 mins away). Facilities nicely placed to not ruin the surroundings. Safe setting, safe car parking. The facilities are practical and very clean. Small shop in the barn all practical stuff/hot showers, water /electric point for charging phone if needed!! Plenty to see locally, five mins from Charlcote Park/20 mins from Warwick Castle. Michael and Stuart are very welcoming and helpful. Thankyou Micheal and Stuart had an amazing stay as usual, looking forward to our next visit 🙂
Spot on
Meadows are plenty big enough for everyone to have their own space making the weekend stay very relaxed. Shop & washing area all very clean & practical. Definitely use campsite again. Stratford upon Avon is 10mins or so by car, and National Trust Charlecote Park is in walking distance of the campsite. If you’re inclined to have a night out in Stratford, then taxi back after 11pm is £20.

Best camp site of warwickshire
what a beautiful camp site, the car parking, toilets, and facilitys and clean and good sized. The showers are well looked after and big, and the whole site is equip with anything and everything is case you’ve forgot any camping gear. the views were perfect and the camp site owners were super helpful, thanks for the perfect get away!!
excellent stay
This was our first visit to Twitey’s had a very enjoyable stay. Excellent camp site and very friendly, will be coming back. Thank You.
Great for kids
A lovely stay with 2 adults and 5 children. Children loved the wheelbarrows to transport belongings, the little shop, the wonderful freedom to roam safely without cars, the open fires to cook all meals and the free range poultry! Adults loved no cars on pitch, peace and tranquility, fire pit, clean and functional facilities, safety for children, helpful but not overbearing welcome. A great break for us all!
Practical
We found this campsite very practical. Lots of little details to make camping much easier, from the circular mown pitches and paths, to our own stone-ringed campfire, with wood and firelighters in the shop to buy, clean functional showers and toilets which are cleaned regularly and restocked with paper towels and loo rolls, washing up area with hot water and fridge/freezer etc etc. There are two fields, the higher one has great views over the Welcome Hills and super sunsets, the lower one is more sheltered. Although the campsite was probably at maximum capacity this weekend, because of the layout and the long grass, we still felt secluded and private. We awoke to skylarks singing, followed by goldfinches and even heard yellowhammers and buzzards. A lovely campsite in the Warwickshire countryside, designed by a camper for campers!
Glamping at its best
This was my third visit to Twitey’s and I was left even more impressed than previous trips. Excellent tipis and provisions, great new shower block and toilet area and very helpful and friendly hospitality from Michael, Denis and Stuart. Would thoroughly recommend for a relaxing weekend stay. Only comment for improvement would be to install some more showers as had to queue. Thanks very much guys, will be back I’m sure!
You won't find better!
Thank you to Michael for a brilliant stay at his campsite. A really warm welcome in a beautiful, safe setting with great balance of comfort and enjoying the outdoors. We loved every minute of it. Georgina
I'll be back
If you want a real rustic camping experience with charming meadows, open fires and wildlife this is the place for you. The showers and toilets are very basic but they do the job and are lovely and clean. The owner couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful, he cares and it really shows! There is plenty to do in the local area if you fancy a day out, we went to Warwick castle which was lovely if not a Little (ahem. Very!!) overpriced. I look forward to our return in the summer.

Why would you want to go anywhere else?
This was our second visit to Twitey’s. We came back because we felt we couldn’t find anywhere to equal the unique experience we had last year. Camping for us wouldn’t work without a campfire and the “keeping it simple” approach that you get here. We love the mown pitches that give each family a sense of their own space and the safe environment, well away from cars, for the children to play free that allows families to relax properly. The field and amenities are basic but kept spotless – the porta-loo facilities are tended regularly and maintained to a very high standard, even over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Hot water is available all day for showers and washing up; and Michael and Denise are investing in improvements each year. Stuart, the manager, couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming, ensuring the site is user friendly and clean at all times. Nothing is too much trouble. He is always on site to help with any eventuality: from helping a single mum with three small kids put up their tent to recovering misplaced items and making repairs to your kit. Whether you want to find a bit of peace and quiet away from it all or a place to meet up with extended family, you couldn’t find a more friendly and happy place. Highly recommended.
Superb Time had by all
A big thank you for the wonderful couple of days spent at your campsite. Wish all that I have stayed at are all so well thought out! Loved that fact no immediate neighbours, excluding the pitch next to ours which was part of our party booking – no sardines here! Brought some camping novices with us – thanks they are now converted campers! Special thank you to Stuart who is so welcoming! Thumbs up!
Fantastic Campsite
Thank you for a wonderful weekend at your campsite. You have the balance of peaceful, beautiful and welcoming to perfection. With only a few simple rules we felt relaxed and at home. The meadow is beautiful and there is plenty of space for the kids to explore and run around. The facilities were all clean with hot running water. Only one area that could be improved, would be lighting in the barn area for washing and washing up in the evening. Thank you for a fabulous weekend, see you next year!
Very peaceful
We’ve just returned home from a very relaxing and peaceful few days here at twiteys. Stuart greeted us and showed us around the Meadows and the facilities which were all clean and welcoming. The kids enjoyed running around the mowed out paths around d the campsite and playing hide and seek. This site was so quiet and peaceful. I’ve never been to such a quiet site before. It was lovely. Gorgeous views and lots to do near by. We had fish and chips in the view in Stafford which was really tasty and went on a short boat cruise. Beautiful town. We will definitely be returning.
Excellent!!
We came home today following 3 nights at Twitey Tipis, and what a fantastic time we had. Stuart makes you feel completely at ease throughout, from your arrival and guided tour to the random checks throughout your stay to your departure, he is always on hand. The site is quite frankly the best campsite I have stayed at, basic, simple, more than adequate and natural. Wonderful private plots with plenty of wheelbarrows available to transport your kit.rnrnGreat time – thanks, Steve, Clare, Olivia and Thomas.rnrnWe will be back!
A most adorable campsite.
From the moment I drove up the quiet country lane up to the campsite I saw how beautiful the camping meadow was with lovely views of nothing but grass, trees and sky. The pitches are cut into a long grass meadow with individual paths cut in to lead to every pitch. Each pitch has a fire pit and logs are available on site. The long grass give you privacy while still being able to enjoys the view of the meadow. There is a large space cut into the meadow so children can play. My children made friends straight away and spent allot of time playing on this area with a football and cricket set we had brought. I felt my children were safe because the play area is set at the bottom of the field which is by no means steep but this allows you to be able to see your children playing from your pitch. There are hot showers and washing facilities, very clean toilets, electric charging facilities and a freezer for your ice packs, everything you need to make a perfect camping trip. I enjoyed the laid back feel of the campsite and the host Stuart was most helpful and welcoming. We will definitely come back again.
Fantastic discovery
We have just returned from a Sunday night stay at Twiteys, and cannot recommend it highly enough. We were met by the lovely Michael, who showed us all around the site and recommended where to camp for the best sunset. The tall grass meant that our pitch was completely enclosed, and there was more than enough room for our two tents, fire, children etc. A beautiful peaceful setting. We will definately be back! Thank you Michael and Stuart for a lovely stay.
Mid summer's night
We’ve just returned from our mid summer weekend away in the tipi. Fantastic weather, beautiful views. We liked the new shower in the barn and the washing up area makes it easier, and yet remains rustic. The meadows were a picture and is was private. We’ve just sat around for 2 days, eating (cooking on the fire pit) and enjoying the tipi. Well done. You’ve got it just right. See you next time. Thank you very much. Bryn and Lucy
Fantastic, well maintained, tranquil
On arrival we were greeted by Stuart and shown around the campsite, facilities and a variety of pitches to choose from. Each one of the pitches were spacious and offered privacy from other campers, with fantastic views of the countryside. The facilities provided were exactly what we needed for a long weekend stay (shared fridge, freezer, hot showers, plenty of information and guides on the local area) all of which were clean, tidy and well maintained including the washing up area, toilets, shower block. Fire pit provided and kindle and log wood was available on site, of very good quality and not at too much cost. The staff and management were extremely friendly and polite, nothing was too much trouble and a pleasure to talk to (not like some of the staff we have experienced at other camping venues). The car parking is secure, only being a short distance away from the pitches and it was nice to have no cars in view when pitched up.rnWe have only been camping for around a year but would definitely recommend and return to Twitey’s Tipis.
Peace and Quiet
We came to Twitey’s on the way back from a wedding in the hope of some peace and quiet and a campfire – we had this and more! We were welcomed by Stuart who is simply the warmest and most welcoming person you could expect! We were shown around the site and pitched up in the top meadow. Campfire and beer followed, bed at 9pm and slept so well we didnt wake until 8am!rnIt is a simple, lovely, quiet and welcoming site for ‘proper’ camping! We loved it and will be back again. Thank you 🙂
Awesome Site
Twitey’s Place is one of the best sites we’ve been to. The kids had a fantastic time running around the meadow, making friends and generally being kids.rnrnMichael made us all very welcome and is always on hand to help out. The facilities are great with shower, toilets and a small outdoor sheltered kitchen.rnrnSitting around the fire on a warm early summer evening was absolute bliss. The airport is barely audible and does a great breakfast.rnrnWe’ll be coming back time and again.
