Anna Doherty

This site is wonderful, the pitches are big circular areas of cut down grass with a camp-fire pit in them. Around the pitches the wild grass really gave an element of seclusion and really made a perfect area to all chill out in. The Logs and all you need for a camp-fire are sold on site at a good price and we loved being able to sit out on an eve around the fire. Walking through the campsite was wonderful at night due to seeing all the fires around and made a wonderful atmosphere :). Even though the toilet block is yet to be built the portaloos/showers where really clean and we have been to many campsites with blocks all ready built that are less clean and not half as warm as here, so no complaints.The pitches definitely made up for these basic facilities though. Really love the the eco friendliness of the site and cant wait to return soon!

Myself and my partner stayed at Twiteys Tipis camping site over a bank holiday. It was our first camping holiday together and my first time ever camping. On arrival we had a warm welcome and was shown around the campsite. Both the owner and the staff are really friendly and ...
